Enjoy the oak panelled rooms and roaring log fires in winter and croquet on the lawn with fantastic views in summer. A 300 year old Georgian Country Manor House in 5 acres secluded grounds yet only 1.5 miles from Cheltenham centre.
The uninterrupted panoramic views out to the Cotswold Hills, the traditional furnishings, family photographs and pictures and even a ghost story or two, all conspire to make any length of stay a memorable event. Also, beyond 5 acres of secluded tranquil grounds complete with Highland Cattle lies a treasure trove of equally engaging delights.
One of the real joys of staying in a privately-owned hotel, particularly one dating back to the early 1600s, is the individuality family ownership brings - from the flowers in the entrance hall to the decor and individuality of each bedroom .Nothing is 'corporate’ or 'the same’ at Prestbury House so it is worth checking with Reservations your precise requirements.

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, a fixed amount of GBP 25.00 will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Reception closes for accommodation check-in at 20:00 (Sundays and public holidays: 19:00). For check-in facilities after these times, please telephone the hotel in advance of your stay so that arrangements may be made. There is no night porter.
Prestbury House is a total non-smoking site with the exception of a designated area outside.
Please note accommodation is not available during any Cheltenham Race meeting or 24 -28 December (inclusive); 31 December and 1 January.

While our fourteen either standard rooms (in the 500 year old Coach House- 20 metres to the main hotel) or premiere bedrooms (all in the Main Hotel) all share modern comforts, they each exude a traditional and distinctive charm.
Each one is as different and as personal as the rooms in a family home, which is exactly what Prestbury House remains. Some of our premiere rooms have sled beds, king size or four posters. Premiere bedrooms are much larger than standard bedrooms.
Please check availability of 4-poster rooms. Our double rooms either overlook our grounds or the tranquil village of Prestbury. The hotel is in a quiet backwater of the village.

Prestbury House provides a full traditional breakfast cooked from fresh and to order (please allow 15 minutes for cooking). On weekdays, breakfast is served from 07:00 to 09:00. On weekends and public holidays it is served from 08:00 to 10:00.
For evening meals, there 35 restaurants within 1.5 miles of the hotel. Directly opposite Prestbury House is their award-winning Royal Oak Restaurant (separately managed) which also has full bar facilities. Behind the hotel, in the centre of the village, is The Kings Arms (separately managed). Full details of all restaurants together with contact details for direct booking in advance of your stay (highly recommended) is provided with your confirmation letter from the hotel.
By Road: Situated at junction 10, 11 and 11a of the m5 and on the a40 (from London) Cheltenham lies within the hub of the motorway and dual carriageway network. On entering Cheltenham follow all signs for Cheltenham Racecourse and Prestbury. Prestbury House is 0.5 miles from the main racecourse entrance.
At the roundabout outside the Racecourse main entrance follow signs for Prestbury down New Barn Lane. Prestbury House is signposted left into The Burgage. Prestbury House is 200 yards on the right hand side.

By Rail: Cheltenham Spa is well served by British rail regional and intercity services, including direct services from London Paddington, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Plymouth, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow.
By Air: Prestbury House has full helicopter landing facilities for up to three aircraft.
